"Dreamscapes" are my intuitive watercolors. I start by laying down spontaneous color washes. As I see shapes and characters appear I begin outlining and rendering, pulling them out from abstraction. The effect is surreal, whimsical, dreamlike.
I use artist grade watercolors and occasional inks. Small batches are printed in the US. I try to replicate the original watercolor paper, whether it is hot or cold press and use heavyweight, archival quality art papers.
I am a professional working artist, and have focused on ceramic tile and sculpture for a good many years. In fact I have just finished work on a book on my ceramic sculpture , tile and architectural ceramics. It is called "Hearthfire" and will be released in Fall 2021 and I'm so excited to share it !
